Dr. Danika Odama, ND, LAc
As a naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist, Dr. Danika has a well-rounded holistic view of the individual that draws from Eastern and Western philosophies with an understanding that optimal healing goes deeper than just the physical body.
This allows her to identify underlying imbalances in a person’s constitution, target treatments to correct the imbalance, and support them on their path towards healing. In addition to providing overall naturopathic support, her approach to healing often involves hands-on treatments incorporating acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, and manual therapy to achieve the best results.
Dr. Danika has a passion for working with patients of all ages and backgrounds. She specializes in treating a wide range of conditions, including thyroid and other endocrine disorders, menstrual disorders, fertility issues, menopause, chronic fatigue, long covid, musculoskeletal conditions, allergies, digestive complaints, and chronic pain conditions. She is familiar with utilizing conventional and specialty lab testing and interpretation.
Dr. Danika received her training at Bastyr University where she completed a Doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She also received additional training in Chinese herbal medicine at Shuguang Hospital in Shanghai, China through the prestigious Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is board certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She has advanced training in hormone therapy and fertility support. She is currently working on a certification for craniosacral therapy through the Upledger Institute.
Dr. Danika is accepting new patients based out of Hawaii and Washington state.
Dr. Danika grew up in the PNW and Kona, Hawaii. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, friends, hiking, rock climbing, crocheting amigurumi dolls, staying physically active, and living an enriching life.
